Appropriate embodiments of the printing press according to the invention are derived from the dependent claims. The purpose of the invention is the expansion of technological capabilities by providing various types of single and double-sided printing.
FIG. 1 shows an example of a combination rotary sheet printing press, in which an indirect printing press provides double-sided multi-color offset printing; in fig. 2 — a printing machine with a different sheet feeding system and with a different arrangement of the forme cylinders on the upper offset cylinder of the indirect printing press; in fig. 3 - a printing machine in which an indirect printing press on one side of a sheet provides multicolor offset printing and on the other side of the sheet a colorful print from several forms; in fig. 4-6 is the same in which the indirect printing press is reversible and can occupy three different working positions to obtain different printing combinations, with the lower half of the printing apparatus taking up in accordance with FIG. 4 position for printing from several forms, in accordance with FIG. 5, the first position for offset printing and in accordance with FIG. 6 second position for offset printing.

In this example, it is assumed that the forme cylinders 12 and 15 carry wetted offset forms. They are rolled up with paint inking unit 13 or 16 respectively and are moistened with a humidifier 131 or 161, respectively. The color units 13 and the dampening units 131 are installed in the stand 14 of the ink apparatus, and the color apparatus 16 in the stand 17 of the ink apparatus .
Another blanket cylinder 5 interacts with four bearing blanket plates for printing plates, of which, in accordance with FIG. 1 three form cylinders 7 are installed to the right of the centerline and one form cylinder 10 to the left of the vertical centerline of the offset cylinder 5. Again, these form cylinders carry moisturizing offset forms. Three plate cylinders 7 interact with inking units 8 and humidifiers 8 in an exhaust rack 9 of the inking unit, while plate cylinder 10 interacts with the inking unit 11 and the humidifier 111.
In addition, in accordance with FIG. 1, devices 32 for sucking paper dust are provided near the circumference of the transfer cylinder 2 and the preceding transporting cylinder; these suction devices may also be located near the circumference of at least two successive transporting cylinders 1. The printing machine according to FIG. 2 differs from the printing press according to fig. 1 in that the transport cylinders 1 in accordance with FIG. 1 are replaced by another known sheet feeding system 33, for example, a sheet feeding conveyor belt. At the end of this sheet-feeding system 33, sheets with the help of stop cylinders ZZa and transfer cylinder 2 fall onto the offset cylinder 3. Another difference from the printing press in accordance with FIG. 1 is that in the upper rack 14 of the indirect printing press A, only one plate cylinder 12 with an ink device is installed, but in the other rack 17 of the ink machine, three plate cylinders 15 with ink machines are installed. In this press, a sheet-circumference portion of the offset cylinder 3 extends over an angle of approximately 145 °. All other structural details of the indirect printing apparatus 4, the sheet feeding device B and the metallographic printing apparatus C are the same as in the embodiment according to fig. one.
In a printing machine according to an exemplary embodiment in accordance with FIG. 3, the lower half of the indirect printing press A prints according to the printing method from several forms, which is also called the Oryol printing method, while the upper half, as in the example in accordance with FIG. 1 and 2, prints using the offset printing method. The sheet feeding system 33 with the stop cylinder ZZa, from which the sheets fall on the transfer cylinder 2, corresponds to the sheet feeding system of the printing machine in accordance with FIG. 2. Only four small transport cylinders are provided in sheet feeding device B in front of cylinder 22 to turn the sheets, namely, transfer cylinder 18 and the next three cylinders 20, and drying devices 21 are located near the circumference of all four small cylinders. The metallographic printing apparatus C corresponds to the embodiments A of FIG. 1 and 2.
In order to achieve multi-color printing from several forms on one side of the sheet, the lower half of the indirect printing press according to FIG. 3 is made as follows.
Both offset cylinders 3 and 5 are pressed apart. Adjacent to the blanket cylinder 5, the forme cylinder 10 carries a composite printing plate having a perfect printing pattern. An additional small cylinder in the form of a cylinder 34 is provided between this plate cylinder 10 and the offset cylinder 3 for transferring the image, which is adjacent to both the plate cylinder 10 and the offset cylinder 3. To the right of the vertical center line of the offset cylinder 5 are located in accordance with FIG. 3 four plate cylinders 7, which are separated by color separation forms, which are rolled by colorful devices with 8 different colors. In order to conveniently position the cylinder 34 for transferring images on the circumference of the offset cylinder 3, the offset cylinder 5 is disposed with some displacement relative to the offset cylinder 3 located opposite to the outside, i.e. in accordance with FIG. 3 slightly to the right. Due to this, on the circumference of the offset cylinder 5, to the right of its vertical midline, there is a place for the installation of four
supporting color separations of the forme cylinders 7, so that the offset cylinder 5 in this embodiment example interacts in general with five forme cylinders.
Based on this configuration, the feeding of the sheets to the blanket cylinder 3 is shifted somewhat up compared to the printing presses according to FIG. 1 and 2, and therefore the section of the circumference of the offset cylinder 3 between the transfer cylinder 2 and transfer cylinder 18, which the sheet passes through, is somewhat larger; in the example under consideration it is equal to half the circumference of the cylinder, however, if necessary, it could also be easily made slightly smaller. On the upper portion of the circumference of the offset cylinder 3, three forme cylinders are provided, namely, to the right of the vertical midline one forme cylinder 12 with its inking unit 13 in the rack 14 of the inking device and to the left of the vertical midline two formini cylinder 15 with its inking machines 16 rack 17 inking machine.
Thus, the sheets, when the slot passes between the offset cylinder 3 and the cylinder 34 for transferring the image, receive on one side a three-color offset print and on the other side a four-color collection print. Therefore, in this way, non-counterfeit backgrounds can be produced on both sides of the banknotes in various printing methods, the offset printing method produces images with superimposed inks and the method of printing with several forms produces an image with inks next to each other.
FIG. 4-6 show another embodiment of a printing press, in which an indirect printing press A is reversible and can occupy three different printing positions. The printing machine according to FIG. 4-6 has the same sheet feeding device 2, the same printing machine C for metallographic printing and basically also the constructed printing device A, as well as the already described printing machine according to FIG. 3. The same parts are marked with the same reference numerals.
The differences are that the offset cylinder 5 can be interchanged between the position for offset printing (Figs. 5 and 6) and the position for printing from several forms (Fig. 4), that the cylinder 34 for transferring images can be interchanged between the working position, in which it adjoins both the blanket cylinder 8 and the plate cylinder 10 and the non-working position retracted from both of these cylinders, that the plate cylinder 10 can also be rearranged, has a matching inking device 11 and or an offset printing form (Fig. 5 and 6), or national team

The plate cylinder 10 carries an offset printing plate rolled up by the paint by the inking device 11, the design of which is transferred by means of a cylinder 34 for transferring from expressions in the worksheet. Thus, the sheet first obtains a three-color offset print on the upper side of the printing slots between offset cylinders 3 and 5 and a four-color offset print on the lower side and then another single-color offset print on the bottom side using a cylinder 34 for transferring images.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described, but allows for a variety of options from the point of view of the number and arrangement of interacting with offset cylinders 3 and 5 of the forming cylinders, the construction of the cylinders of the sheet transporting device, as well as the design of the metallographic printing machine.
